Our Keynote Speakers
Seattle-based stylist with 15 years of experience, Shayla Robinson is a true artist when it comes to color. Known for her creative eye and bold transformations, she brings passion and precision to every look. As a five-time MANE Awards nominee and 2026 colorist winner, Shayla continues to set the bar in the beauty industry one vibrant shade at a time.

Cie Cie Retic is a beauty professional licensed for over 20 years, entrepreneur, and educator with a passion for helping others turn their expertise into income. Specializing in loc care and maintenance, she brings real-world business experience and a relatable, straightforward approach to teaching.
Session Details : Through her session “From Real Talk to Real Profits,” she helps beauty professionals use authenticity to build connections, strengthen their brands, and monetize their social media presence. Cie Cie encourages others to show up confidently, own their stories, and build businesses that reflect who they are.
Danielle is a Veteran Makeup Artist of who brings years of experience. She is also a Licensed Master Level Esthetician, Certified Lash Technician, and current title holder of Mane Choice MUA
2025 and 2026. She specializes in “Beauty” and “Glam” makeup application for any special occasion, striving to help women feel like the best version of themselves. This past year, she has largely lent her time and talents as the principal Makeup Artist for Community Aunties, an organization that helps girls of color navigate the world of pageantry via the Miss Washington/Miss America systems, and also produces Pierce County’s Miss Juneteenth.

Our third class had BECU share on the different types of business services they provide, mental health with Daryllyn Harris-Waller of Renewed Essence Counseling ,preparing for retirement, learning about disability insurance and more by Danyale Thomas of Reveal Wealth, Business counseling, resources and training information from Urban Impact and a community round table to share with each other knowledge, tips, and love.
During our fourth session, we learned the versatile style of The Flat Twist from Zue Sawtell- Stylist and Owner of Defined Salon. Helpful tips from Digital Marketing Evangelist Annette Washington on how to use AI for small businesses. Learned about Straightening systems like Brazilian Blowout from Alexandria Folino of Soul Collective. We also received business support, training, and technical assistance from Tabor100 our co-host and information from BECU on the advantages of business accounts and the services they offer to support financial security for small business owners.
For our Fifth session , Rowena Decones of BECU shared on the advantages of business accounts and the services they offer to support small business owners. We got so many great tips on products, and styling methods like finger coils, twist-outs, and wash-and-go’s from Sabrina Gray. Kamira Thomas helped us to remember to be professional, and elevate our client experience and Gina Vaughns taught us how to create smooth, defined finger waves. Michael Johnson of Tax Bunny answered so many of our questions about business taxes, from S-Corps to what we can write off.
